CDC Warns: Hair Bands From China Made Of Used Condoms, Could Spread STD’s

As a buyer, you always need to be careful and try to recognize some potentially harmful products that you might be buying for yourself or for your loved ones.

The Center for Disease Control (CDC) has warned that the hair ties in the USA that come from and are made in China can be potentially dangerous. Namely, it is believed that they are made from an alarming item which could actually spread sexually transmitted diseases to the individuals that handle and wear them.

The thing is the hair ties are said to be made from utilized condoms.

Some local beauty salons in the country and some swap meets and flea markets have bought these hair ties and sell them further to costumers and users. This is very dangerous, as these can spread AIDS, genital warts and other STDs. As the CDC says, these hair ties and rubber bands made from used and unsanitary condoms contain a great amount of bacteria and potential viruses, even four times the bacteria found on a public restroom toilet.

Also, there is the danger from AIDS, herpes, warts, and other venereal diseases. Namely, these diseases can be transmitted by holding the rubber band or the hair tie in the mouth while setting the hair. This is why there is a warning issued by the CDC which says that the customers should avoid buying products that are being made in China.

A woman from Los Angeles has bought some hair ties in a local beauty salon, but after she learnt that she had in fact bought used condom material, she got disgusted and horrified.

Shantea Green, the woman who found out about this once she bought the hair ties was appalled and she explains how unbelievable this seemed to her. She took the scissors and watchfully cut around the edges, to see that inside there was a used condom. She was really horror-struck, and therefore wants to spread the word so people stop using the hair ties made from China.

If you are one of the many people who have bought these hair ties made in China, you should throw them away instantly. They can lead to spreading of some disease.

Always check your stocking items. Hair ties and rubber bands can be a great one, unless they are made of utilized condom and they are possibly dangerous for you and your close ones as well.
