The people who took part in the study were divided into two groups: one of the groups was given grapefruit juice with their meal, and the other one was given water. They had eaten equal meals, and three months later, the people who were given grapefruit juice had gained 20% less weight. The testing showed that the people who gained less weight had also reduced sugar levels in the blood, so it was concluded that grapefruit can prevent diabetes.
Even though you can prepare grapefruit juice by simply squeezing fresh grapefruit, you can also prepare a combination like this one:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of fresh grapefruit juice
- 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon of honey
Preparation:
Put the ingredients in a blender and blend well. Drink this juice before every lunch or dinner.
Repeat this for seven days in a row, and then make a 7-day pause and repeat the process once again.
This drink affects the feeling of hunger, i.e. it reduces it.
