Get rid of the unwanted fungus from your home using these natural tips and cleaning methods:
1. Hydrogen peroxide
Take a 3-percent hydrogen peroxide and spray it onto the areas affected by mold. Let it stay on for about ten minutes, and then scrub it off the wall. After the scrubbing, wipe the surface using a damp cloth to that you clean the remaining mold spores. You can combine the hydrogen peroxide with vinegar and baking soda. Store the bottle of hydrogen peroxide in a dark place, as the light is going to crash its quality.
2. Vinegar
Take an empty spray bottle, pour some vinegar in it and spray it directly on the mold surfaces. If you want to weaken the scent of vinegar, which is pretty strong, dilute the vinegar with some water, but we recommend that you use vinegar only, as it is stronger and more efficient. Let is stay on for several hours. After that, scrub the sprayed surface using a brush. If you cannot stand the scent of vinegar, add several drops of some essential oil to it. Studies have shown that white vinegar can get rid of 82 percent of the mold spores, including bacteria and viruses. It can be also used for prevention of mold by spraying it on areas and letting it dry.
3. Tea tree oil solution
All of the methods for eliminating mold we offer are environment-friendly, but there are some of them which are not that cheap. Tea tree oil, for example, is more expensive, you will use just two teaspoons of it a long time. You should combine these two teaspoons of tea tree oil with two cups of water, and spray the solution on the mold. Do not wash this solution off. The strong scent of the tea tree oil will fade away after a few days.
4. Citrus seed extract and water
The extract from citrus seed does not have a scent. Combine 20 drops approximately of this extract and two cups of water. Pour the solution in a spray bottle and then spray it on the mold area. Do not wash it off.
5. Baking soda
This natural ingredient is very beneficial when it comes to removing mold. Mix it with some water and spray it onto the mold area. After a while, scrub and wipe the area using a damp cloth. Not only will baking soda remove the mold, but it will also do that without leaving an unpleasant smell behind.
